I decided yesterday that I was going to make my cousin and I a special breakfast. We chow down on some serious oatmeal just about every morning so nothing like trying something a little new to spice it up. This is a relatively easy recipe and very adaptable to whatever you might have or want at the time. Also, what is super awesome about this recipe is that pie dish full of oatmeal is a single serving! So here is the recipe I used to create a yummy & healthy breakfast
Blueberry Almond Oatmeal Bake
1/2 C quick cook oats
1 C Water
1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1 tsp baking powder (I was out so it should be okay if you omit this but I bet they are super fluffy if you do use it.
1/2 C raw blueberries
10 raw almonds whole
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix all the ingredients in your pie dish and then pop it right into the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
What I really like about this is you can mix it in the pan you bake it in so no extra dirty dishes!!
Also, there are so many ways to make it different you could do apples and cinnamon, or a chocolate protein powder & mashed banana, really whatever you want! Those are the best kinds of recipes!
